2010 Tentative Open Gate Coffee House Schedule
April 9- The Misfits Because of the tremendous response we have received from our audience when the Misfits ministered to us last April, we are pleased to announce their return in 2010. Misfits Lee and Vicki Teachout and Vicki’s dad perform wonderful renditions of fine Christian music and spice up their performance with appropriate humor. We are proud to open our 2010 Open gate Coffee House season with this fine trio.
May 7- Ingersoll Family Band This band will be making their fourth appearance at our coffee house. The audience reaction and attendance has been wonderful. Listen as Mrs. Ingersoll performs her famous “yodeling” Come early as this group really “packs ‘em in.”
June 4- Peter Rose Pete is new to our coffee house this year. His original songs and renditions of the great Christian songs of the past attest to his commitment to our Lord. I am sure you will enjoy Pete’s visit with us.
July 9 – Julian and Bonnie Bonnie and Julian are not new to our coffee house as they appeared with Damascus Road at our first coffee house in 2003. They moved to Tennessee since then and have become a great Christian duo singing the Lord’s praises. They performed a special concert at a worship service at our church this last July which was well received by those in attendance.
August 6 – The Helmsmen Last summer the men’s trio The New Helmsmen performed a highly polished and most enjoyable performance at the Open Gate Coffee House. The audience raved about their talents and the message inherent in their songs. The New Helmsmen are now called The Helmsmen and we are very happy they could fit a visit to our coffee house into their very busy schedule.
September 3 – Sherry Anne Lints We had the pleasure of seeing Sherry Anne on two difference occasions. She is terrific! We can hardly wait for her to share her ministry with us next September. Sherry has made commercial recordings and has appeared in Christian movies and television. When she is not otherwise busy, she is a practicing chiropractor in the Utica area. You have got to experience her testimony and music.
October 1 – Bluegrass Express Ruth Warner and Bluegrass Express are not new to our coffee house. They were called in “olden” days the Blue Gospel Trio and Blue Gospel Express. This will be their fourth appearance at Open Gate and this is another enjoyable group that “packs” the house.
November 5 – Pam and Bruce Lyndaker and Family This will also be the fourth visit of Pam and Bruce to our coffee house ministry. They always have a large following from their church, of which Bruce is the pastor, and the community. Their well blended voices and choice of fine old Christian songs is really a treat to experience.

The Open Gate Coffee House presents a series of evenings featuring a variety of styles of Christian music designed to entertain and inspire. Each Coffee House is held on an announced Friday evening between 7 and 9 PM. (You are free to come and go.) A great and delicious variety of food and beverage are set out. The free-will offering goes entirely to the performing artist(s). Other expenses are absorbed by the Lowville Baptist Church. The Coffee House is well attended so come early to get the best seats. |
