New Helmsmen Trio to perform at Open Gate Coffee House
The Open Gate Coffee House Ministry of the Lowville Baptist Church is pleased to announce that The Helmsmen Trio will be our next featured performers on Friday evening August 6. This fine trio was known previously as the New Helmsmen. Their music consists of close harmony in original and well-known gospel and religious songs. They are a very widely travelled group and in much demand throughout the East Coast. The trio consists of Mark Gibson, Dave Lyons and Mark Ide. They live respectively in Fulton, Endicott and Conklin, New York. The Lowville Baptist Church is located at 7627 N State St., Lowville. The program will start at 7 pm in the air-conditioned fellowship hall. Refreshments will be available. There will be a free will “love” offering to benefit the ministry of the New Helmsmen. This program is open to all.
The Open Gate Coffee House is a monthly ministry of the Lowville Baptist Church from April through November. Each coffee house is held on the first Friday of the month with the exceptions of April and July.
The Open Gate Coffee House presents a series of evenings featuring a variety of styles of Christian music designed to entertain and inspire. Each Coffee House is held on an announced Friday evening between 7 and 9 PM. (You are free to come and go.) A great and delicious variety of food and beverage are set out. The free-will offering goes entirely to the performing artist(s). Other expenses are absorbed by the Lowville Baptist Church. The Coffee House is well attended so come early to get the best seats.
